My Background I started crocheting at age 7, on my grandmother's front porch. She and I crocheted lots of things with yarn. I attended crochet classes at a church around age 9, where we made slippers for ourselves and anyone else who could stand them. I started thread crochet with snowflakes around age 14, and really enjoy this more than yarn crochet. I have hosted crochet classes, making Cancer Caps for Kids, donating our work to St. Jude's Cancer Center and the Blair Batson Childrens' Center in Jackson, MS. I am starting a class in Fall 2008 making scarves for the Special Olympics. |
