For those of you that may or not be aware, our daughter Crystal has not been seen by us since Feb. 13th. As of yesterday, she did leave us a message that she is alive, however, it was brief, monotone, and said she had been out of town, would be coming to get the baby (which did not happen). This is the 3rd message of this type that we have heard during the past 18 days (the other two left with two of her friends).
We believe that each time we get close to finding out the guy that she is with, or when we leave threatening messages on his phone, he makes her call so that we will back off. We have seen her with this guy that she referred to as chris twice, but both times she did not speak without him beside her, and did not say much. We believe that she has either gotten into something she is unable to get out of, as she has never been away from the baby for more than three days, nor during any of the calls has she asked if he was okay. She has only stated the same monotone message above with no emotion and then quickly gotten off (calling from a private number).
I have created a helpfindcrystal website at www.myspace.com/helpfindcrystal and have sent the flyer that Ive attached to the major tv & radio stations in the metroplex. On Thursday the Frisco police left us a message that said they had received an anonymous tip from one source that said she was at a specific location, gave us the name of the guy, hotel & room # near NW Hwy. Frisco investigators then made the determination that she was obviously choosing to stay where she was. The investigator told us that he would be out until Monday, and the desk guys said that they cannot see the investigators notes, so as of right now there is not much they can do. They suggested we work with Dallas Police, whom we contacted on Friday night. We went to the location she was reported to be on Thursday, and the officers that were going to check the room were called to an injury accident and were unable to check the room. A convenience store clerk did identify Crystal as being at the store a few days earlier, but We also received a call from an eye witness that has seen her with this guy and said that he had pulled her into the car by the hair, and that she was crying earlier this month. This guy had called our house for about a week leaving messages with Crystal to see if she was okay during the time that Crystal told us that she was staying with her friend Katy (which we find out now that she was not).
