Who Can Join? Our group is open to Christian home educators throughout the Dalton/Whitfield/Murray/Catoosa area who share our beliefs. Each member is asked to help in at least two single events or one long-term activity or service per year. When everyone pitches in with their individual God-given gifts and talents we are able to provide a variety of interesting opportunities for the kids!
Don't let this intimidate you! Your commitment can be as simple as setting up before or cleaning up after an event, or as complex as leading a high school debate team in a competition - whatever you feel led to do. Examples of just some of our activities are:
* Refreshments or clean-up of monthly meetings
* Play Day coordinator - host a Play Day
* Organize/lead P.E. activities or Gym Day
* Academic testing - assist in administering standardized test, or do refreshments
* Coordinate a field trip
* Help with the yearbook
...and there are many more! If there is something you would enjoy doing that isn't even on the list, that's fine too! How Do I Join? To join DWMC Christian Home Educators, bring your completed membership application and your annual membership dues to the monthly meeting. (If you are unable to print the forms they are also available at the meetings.) If you prefer, you are also welcome to attend a meeting and visit with us before joining.
