Although it has been a huge adjustment for me, even after the first year I could already see amazing changes in my children. I won't pretend it has been easy, but I have found lots of encouragement along the way and would like to share this with others considering or beginning their own homeschool. You will find links to all sorts of helpful homeschool sites, many of which I pored over as I agonized over the decision of whether to pull my kids from public school. I hope that The Green Willow will be a place of help for all homeschool moms!
I will also be adding tips, ideas, and links for help with household organization and frugal living. My experience has been that living in a single-income home is NOT impossible, even in this day and age! I would like to encourage all families, and even engaged and newlywed couples, to consider breaking from the same ol', same ol' two-income grind. Be a rebel!!! Of course, to do this it takes budgeting and some changes in our thinking, but the rewards are worth it! Whether you are considering being a homemaker, stay-at-home mom, and/or a homeschool mom, I hope this site will be of use.
