All my training, all my fancy equipment and when I saw this bear in the wild, I CHOKED..... Lens and cameras were flying everywhere. Don't even ask me what happened to this picture, because I don't know. But you can tell it's a bear ----- can't you??

From Banff to Jasper we drove the Icefield Parkway. It is a 150 mile, incredibly beautiful drive where over 10 glaciers converge. Ron insisted that this picture of El Supremo be included in the website.

Just another beautiful sight along the Icefield Parkway.

You can't tell from this picture, but this is HUGE. Even though we aren't in Alaska yet, the Alaskan Highway begins here in Dawson City, Canada. It was built in 1942 by the US Army in case Japan invaded the Northwest so supplies could be transported. It was an engineering phenomenon at the time. It's been Ron's dream since childhood to drive the Alaskan Highway and here we are at Mile Marker 0.
