Hello everyone. We're on our way home, and after spending the entire summer in Alaska and Canada and finally being back in the good Ol' USA, we have discovered that we love.... MONTANA! Yes, as you can see by this picture, it has got to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. We're in Yellowstone National Park, which is mostly Wyoming, but this picture really shows you the unusual geography of Montana.
In Yellowstone, the bison rule the roost and cause traffic jams all day long when they decide to cross the road. It was a killer walk to the bottom of the canyon to view the Lower Falls, but worth it for the double rainbow. This is the largest of the hot springs. The magnificent colors are created by the bacteria and algae in the water.
If you come to Yellowstone, you have to see Old Faithful, no matter how many times you've seen it before. It still attracts the crowds. And finally, if you can stand one more rainbow, here is another view of the Lower Falls. We are going the Grand Tetons National Park next and then we will be home the first week in September.
