 | My name is Anthony Nunez, and I have been collecting cards since 1979. Over the years I managed to collect just about every type of sportscard, from nationally-issued complete baseball sets to unknown oddball racing sets. As the early '90s rolled on, I noticed a disturbing trend take shape in our hobby -- I quickly became unable to keep up with all the new cards being printed! After a brief period of feeling discouraged and left behind by card makers, I decided to narrow down my collecting habits to one specific area -- the decade of the 1980's. It was a perfect fit. Why not collect cards from the decade that began with me as a student in the third grade and ended with me as a Private in the U.S. Army? It was the decade that said farewell to Willie McCovey and Carl Yastrzemski, and hello to Ken Griffey Jr. and Randy Johnson. It was the last decade where sets were still largely affordable and still contained cards of "average" players. Best of all, cards from the '80s were bargains waiting to be found -- price guides meant very little as I constantly tracked down these unheralded treasures at a fraction of their "book" value. I would like to thank you for stopping by, and feel free to drop me an email if you have any card-related questions. Please note the cards pictured on this site are not for sale, nor do I respond to offers to buy cards. The purpose of this site is not to buy, sell, or trade cards, but just to educate those who may be considering a challenging and rewarding hobby! I wish you the best as you start or continue to build your collection! | |
