I have been a practicing forester since 1989. Some of my experiences include:

Education

I started with a community college in East Peoria, Illinois, where I received an Associates Degree.

After three years in the U. S. Army, I continued with Southern Illinois University where I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Forest Resource Management in 1989.

Since then, I have worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Alaska setting up timber sales, worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Alabama, doing forest research work, and for the Kentucky Division of Forestry, writing Forest Management Plans for private forest landowners and managing the Pennyrile State Forest.

Additional Education!

I am a Candidate Member of the Association of Consulting Foresters and a member of the Kentucky Association of Consulting Foresters. Also, I am a Kentucky Master Logger.

I am an elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Madisonville, where I have been a member since 1994.

I am active with the Great Banquet and Chrysalis movements.

I have helped as a G.E.D. instructor and lituracy tutor.

I am married to Lisa, a flight attendant with Delta for 25 years.
