TM My logo features a rendering of Pennsy's famed T-1 streamlined locomotive thundering through a booming metropolis. These locomotives denote both strength and distinction, as they were capable of pulling a 16-car ALL PULLMAN train at speeds in excess of 100 mph. They were the pride of Pennsy’s “Fleet of Modernism” and piloted many legendary flagship trains including The Broadway Limited, The General, The Admiral, The Manhattan Limited and The Pittsburgher. Designed by Raymond Loewy and built by Baldwin exclusively for the Pennsylvania Railroad between 1945 and 1946. By 1949, they were all relegated to freight service after the Pennsy put diesels on all of their flagship trains. A total of 52 units were built; unfortunately, none remain with us today; they were all sent to the blow-torch in 1953 during Pennsy’s complete conversion to diesel. ABOUT OUR SCRIPT: I designed our name to appear in a script that would reflect both a hand-written signature and tone. If you look closely, you can see the blue fades in and out just like fountain pen ink. © 2006 - 2007, Colfer's Imperial Inks |
