
Tournament will be governed by the 2008 NSA Official Rule Book, with the following exceptions: 1. Teams will supply their own balls. NSA certified with stamp-.44 core/Any comp. 2. NSA Approved Bats ONLY. 3. Entry Fee is $150 plus umps ($10 each)to be paid at the plate. 4. NSA Sanction fee will be $25 and you will pay this online at www.PlayNSA.com and receive your sanction number. You will provide the tournament director with the number or you will not be able to play. 5. There is a 15 man roster for men's and women's divisions and a 16 man roster for coed. This roster is due and closed after your first game. 6. Home Team determined by a coin toss. 7. Teams are allowed to start with 9 players with the 10th spot as an out. All divisions are allowed to bat 12 players. 8. Batters will start with a 0-0 count no extra foul and the 3rd Strike foul is a dead ball out. 9. Pitchers - Arc Limit is 6 foot minimum and 10 foot maximum. 10. Time Limit: 50 minutes. If tied after time or 7 innings, go to a 1 pitch with no extra foul. International Rule will be used by the umpires. 11. Run Rule: 20/3 innings; 15/4 innings; 10/5 innings. 12. Home Run Limits: Classes B-4&1up; C-2&1up; D-1 HRw/progressive penalty(2nd is out; 3rd is out and other team gets a run, etc.) Women's-2&1up; Coed-2&1up; City League-Class E -0HR w/progressive penalty. Open Tournaments will be 3 and 1UP. 13. Teams will be allowed a 15 minute grace period for 1st game ONLY. After first game, game time is FORFEIT TIME. 14. Teams allowed one courtesy runner per inning-last out made. 15. SPORTSMANSHIP; On ejections the Tournament Director, UIC and one umpire will decide if player can return. If there is NO sub for the ejected player-team FORFEITS. 16. All the above rules will apply to ALL games including the Championship{s}. 17. Tournament Director has the right to improvise rules in case of bad weather. 18. Verbal Abuse of umpires, tournamant officials & other employee's WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. You will be asked to leave the park. 19. Umpires JUDGMENT CALLS CANNOT BE PROTESTED. -------------------------------------------------------- PROTESTING THE ELIGIBILITY OF A PLAYER and ANY OTHER PROTESTS: 1. Protest must be made by end of the 1st inning that ineligible player or incident happened. 2. Protesting team must put up $75 to tournament director for EACH player or incident being protested. 3. Protesting team's roster will be checked first. 4. Incidents will be determined by the tournament director, the umpire in charge of the game and one other umpire of the tournament directors choice. 4. If OK, the protested team's roster will be checked for the player{s} being protested. 5. If protested player is NOT on roster-protest upheld-money returned-game forfeited. 6. If protested player is ON the roster, money kept-game continues. 7. If incident being protested is upheld-money kept-game continues. 8. If incident being protested is found wrong-money returned-incident corrected-game continues. -rules are subject to change- |
