NEWS FROM THE MAY BAND BOOSTER MEETING Car Washes planned for June 7 and 21 at Pepperonis We will be contacting the businesses whose names are currently on the trailer to see if they wish to continue to sponsor the band. For a donation we will leave their name on the trailer. We will be contacting additional businesses in the area asking them to sponsor the band as well. We will add new sponsors names to the band trailer. If you know of a business that might be interested in sponsoring the band contact Lyman McCoy. Tentative Community event being planned for July 5 Hope to include: A flea market/rummage sale Concessions Possible car show/cruise in Inflatables Raffle of items donated by businesses Details not yet final Suggestions and ideas are welcome! Were trying to schedule pancake breakfasts at Max & Ermas and Applebees New uniforms are being ordered and should be here for the fall marching season. The band boosters are obligated to pay a sizeable amount toward the new uniforms. Fund raising is crucial to be able to meet this obligation and conduct business as usual. Band Practice / Camp Practice will be held July 14, 15 & 17 from 6:00 9:00 PM Camp will be every weekday between July 21 & August 1 from 9:00 AM 4:00 PM Practice will be held August 4, 5, 7 & 11 from 9:00 AM 12:00 PM Due to our current financial situation and obligations, we will not be able to provide free lunches during band camp. We will be selling lunches for a small fee. Band members are free to pack their own lunches if they choose. Band Fees will be due during band camp The fee is $50 per marching band student This helps to cover the cost of cleaning the uniforms as well as the cost of transporting the band equipment to and from ballgames, competitions and events as well as expenses for new equipment and props for this years show New marchers will be fitted for shoes during band camp. Shoes will cost around $30. New marchers will need to order summer uniforms. Need to confirm the cost, will post before band camp. Do not ignore band fees. These fees are necessary.
