The Host

Hi! I'm Dan and welcome to the site! I retired from the Army In April 1996, and still live in the home we bought in Fountain, Colorado after we moved here from Ft. Devens, Massachusetts along with a bunch of other displaced Snake Eaters when they closed the most beautiful post in New England!

I served 28 years on active duty, mostly with Special Forces units with an occasional detour to a professional development course of the usual Army variety or a specialized SF school to enhance my skill set.

My Alma Mater

I've been hanging out with CMF since about 1980, when I heard about the opportunity to be part of a worldwide group of Christians actively serving in the Armed Forces. The thought of a global fellowship, the opportunity to be linked up with fellow believers just about anywhere I was stationed, and the opportunity to be part of fulfilling the Great Commission was too awesome to turn down!

"The New Christian is like a man who has learned to drive a car in a country where the traffic moves on the left side of the highway and suddenly finds himself in another country and forced to drive on the right. He must unlearn his old habit and learn a new one and more serious than all, he must learn in heavy traffic." - A. W. Tozer
