Purpose Christian Military Fellowship (CMF) supports United States military personnel and their families, worldwide, with prayer, Bible studies, local fellowships, conferences, referrals, free literature, correspondence, hospitality, and Christian resources.
The Mission
Christian Military Fellowship (CMF) is an association of believers who are committed to evangelizing the United States armed forces and discipling Christians who are in the military. CMF involves all elements of that society including all ranks, family members, and civilian employees.
Organizational Profile Within the military society, our members, staff and constituents work to introduce people to Jesus Christ and to help Christians grow in obedience to the Great Commission of our Lord, Who said, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20, NKJV)
How does CMF accomplish the mission?
CMF maintains a worldwide network and yearly Directory of CMF members, chaplains, missionaries, pastors, organizations and individuals who are willing to serve as Christian referrals for military members and families when they travel or transfer. At their request, members are linked with referrals by phone or letter. As a peer ministry within the military society, CMF encourages support for chaplains and participation in the military chapel program wherever possible. Many times a military chapel is the most readily available place for servicemembers to find fellowship; especially when engaged in a temporary travel situation for duty or training. During times of conflict, servicemembers by the thousands are processed through military installations and a base chapel may be their only opportunity to attend worship services. CMF members and friends are part of a worldwide prayer family. They can submit prayer requests to the Home Office to be published in the monthly prayer reminder (Battle Plan) by which they can all pray for one another. A daily Electronic Battle Plan (EBP) is sent out via the Internet and includes the day's requests from the BP along with any urgent requests sent to the CMF home office. A monthly news letter (The Christian Report) is published that contains heart challenging articles, provides encouragement, lists new members and occasionally adds information about upcoming CMF sponsored activities.
