| (6) ZACHARIAH BENJAMIN2 GOSS I (STEPHENSON1) was born
October 03, 1816 in South Carolina, and died December 31, 1863 in Georgia. He married SUSANNAH
S. SCOTT February 22, 1838 in Stewart Co., Georgia, daughter of JOSEPH SCOTT
and MILLY BUSH, and granddaughter of REVEREND PRESCOTT BUSH, a Revolutionary
soldier and Primitive Baptist preacher.
Zachariah and Susannah settled in
the Box Ankle District of Stewart County and were members of the Primitive Baptist Church.
By 1850 their farm was valued at $500 and they owned seven slaves.
In thd 1880 Webster County census, Susannah (Susan) appears as a widow living with four of
her children. The youngest, Barby, may have married, but Millie, Sarah Ann, and Zack,
never married and spent their lives together in the two story log home where they were
born, located on lower Richland-Preston Road.

FERABY2 GOSS (STEPHENSON1) was born in 1819 in South Carolina. She married GEORGE
WASHINGTON WARREN.
Feraby and George had four
children, but George died the same year their youngest child, and his namesake, was born.
Feraby appears in the 1850 Stewart County, Georgia, census, as a widow with four young
children, living next door to her parents.

STEPHENSON2 GOSS, JR. (STEPHENSON1) was born in 1824 in South Carolina. He married NANCY
JANE PURVIS July 03, 1843 in Stewart Co., Georgia.
By the 1850 census, Stephen owned
a farm valued at $500 and four slaves. Nancy was unable to read or write. He served as a
Confederate Soldier in the Civil War.
