Love is in the air! Valentine's Day is said to be a tribute to St. Valentine, a Catholic bishop from the 5th Century Rome. Host a Valentine's Dance >>Decorate tables with white tablecloths, and sprinkle red, pink, and silver heart confetti all over. Make a centerpiece with a glass fish bowl, add water and red floating candles. >>Make a back drop for pictures by putting a bench against a wall. Then with pink, red, and white posterboard-- just cut out a huge heart with each color and write in with marker or crayon -"BE MINE", or "KISS ME", or "LUV YA". Just tape up to the wall above. Also, tie helium-filled assorted Valentine's balloons to back of one end of bench. >>>Take photos with an IZONE Camera or a Poloroid Camera, for instant take home photos. >>Hire a professional DJ, or choose your favorite party music ahead of time. >>Set out small dishes on each table filled with conversation heart candies. >>Serve punch, and cutout heart and cupid sugar cookies. >>See Shindigz for all above.
 Plan a romantic evening for two- Fresh rose petals leading a path to a quaint table for two, complete with candlesticks. Prepare sweetheart's favorite meal, topped off with champagne or wine. Watch favorite romantic movies, such as, "Gone With The Wind","An Affair to Remember", "Dirty Dancing", "Sleepless in Seattle", "Ever After", and "Return to Me", just to name a few. For Children's Valentine's Parties: >>Make party favors for each guest filled with a heart sucker, conversation hearts, hershey kisses and hugs, and foil-wrapped chocolate lips, or even wax lips. Put in small red and pink tin pails or gift bags, or gift boxes (see Oriental Trading Co. for all your party favor needs.) >>Have each child bring a valentine for each other. >>Serve punch and decorated cut-out cookies. >>Take each child's photo with an instant camera and have them make their own card for it to bring home to mom and dad.-- Use plain computer paper and fold in half for each child. Stick the photo on the front of the card. Purchase various hearts, cupids, lips, teddy bears, flowers, etc.. stickers and put in the middle of the table.
