WILL SIGHTINGS

Will's Debut on Daytime TV

April was a very special month for Will sightings. The producers of the emmy-award winning soap opera The Young & the Restless made a smart decision in casting our Will in the role of Ian Gardner, the executive director of an L.A. record company.

Will confirmed he made one appearance with the show, but that no contract had been signed to make the character a recurring one. He did express, however, he would be interested in doing more work with them.

That's all it took for 'his troops' to rally and start a letter writing campaign. The wires and mail boxes of the ptb must have been flooded with inquiries about the 'new guy' on the show as the following was posted on the Y&R website.

Question: Please tell me who the actor was that played J.T.'s record label exec Ian? He looked and sounded a lot like Pierce Brosnan.

Answer: His name is Will Snow. He stars in the series The Lost World.

Let's keep those cards, letters and e-mails rolling in everyone. As we all know, there is power in the written word, and this may be just the answer to getting Will well known on the small screen here in the states. More than one leading actor in the biz has used this venue as a stepping stone to a noticeable and lucrative career in the film industry.

Check out the Sending Fan Mail page for addresses to send your letters to the producers of CBS.

Upcoming Projects

In addition to his debut performance on the Young & the Restless, Will has been hard at work in his role as Executive Producer of a TV-pilot entertainment show hosted by his wife, Kim Kilbey. Last week, both he and Kim were busy interviewing Hugh Jackman as a potential candidate to co-host the show.

They are pitching the show to the U.K., Australia and U.S. markets, and is basically the Aussie actor's take on the film industry in Hollywood.

When Mr. Snow feels the time is appropriate, details and more information will be posted here on the website, as well as the Lost World discussion board.

Kim and Will, we wish you luck in this new venture, and will be waiting anxiously for news of the airing of your show.

APRIL'S WORD CONTEST

TIG created a challenging word contest to run the month of April. How many words can be made using the letters of Will's name - WILLIAM SNOW?

The response was remarkable with 19 entries. When TIG tested the number of possible words, she came up with 55. I came up with 5 more. Never did we think anyone would find over 100. But we have some determined members who did just that.

First place - Lucy aka Lousiana Lady with 137 words
Second place - Star with 112 words
Third Place - Lee Ann with 108 words
Fourth Place - Dee with 106 words
Fifth Place - Kate1 with 103 words

Lucy's list sent me running to the dictionary, thesaurus and the 'build your vocabulary' pages of the net. Here is the list of winning words:

ion sin ills will mil nail ami
ions win ios snow mina nails amis
low wins wis lawns minas moll amino
lawn won mills wan sallow mol ani
slow son million wain moan monas anis
own loam millions wallow loans naos anil
lows owns mill wallows loan salmon awl

swill owls sail sain olla small ain
sol noils wail mallow aims snail inwall
wills ill wails mason allows sola all
now oil maw solan allow alms
sow oils soma aloin swallow
wow alow swan also mail
moans wows

It was originally planned to have just a first and second place winner. However, anyone able to put together over 100 words deserves a prize for their efforts. TIG not only created and tested the contest, but also donated the prizes - luscious photo badges of Will as his character Lord John Roxton in The Lost World.

All entrants will receive an appreciation certificate as a way of thanking you for your participation. And, WAY TO GO!!!... all you top winners. What a lovely way to spend your spare time...staring at Will's name.

MAY CONTEST

A few ideas have been bandied about for a May contest, but nothing definite at this time. If anyone has an idea they would like to submit, please send me an e-mail. All suggestions are welcome.

NEW PAGES ON WEBSITE

If you've been surfing the site the past week or so, you will have noticed the addition of a few new pages:

2004 Lost World Convention Website
Sending Fan Mail
Will's Angels

Will's Angels is still under construction, but will be updated very soon.

FOR MEMBERS ONLY

Several weeks ago, Will kindly offered to personally autograph a black and white photograph for each member of his fan club. Most of you have already received yours, and for those who haven't...please be patient. All good things come to those who wait. The second batch will be mailed out in the next few days.

This generous gesture proves once again that we really did choose the right actor on which to lavish our time and attention. In every communication, Will never fails to thank us for our continued support. And, it's obvious he's pleased with the growing number of fans.

As of the publishing of this newletter, there are 61 paid members. When the club was first announced on the board, my e-mail box was inundated with applications. However, the annual fee wasn't determined or set at that time. There are still approximately 20 files with received applications, but no received fees. If you fall into that category, there's still time to become an official member and receive a personalized photo of Will. Send an e-mail to: ejbowles@peoplepc.com

..to activate your file.

Thanks to everyone for continuing to support the club and website. Keep checking back for updates and any 'breaking news' on the flourishing career of Mr. Snow.
