NEW MARBLEHEAD CHAPTER INTERNATIONAL ORDER OF DEMOLAY FOUNDED 1994 MEETS 1st & 3rd TUESDAY AT 7:00 PM
Annual Easter Egg Hunt For Community Children Our members pride themselves in the performance of our ritual and in living the ideals taught to us from the degrees we have taken. Although the ritual of our Order is very important, we also try to have as much fun as possible. Maine DeMolay sponosors many events that we partake in annually, such as various state tournaments like volleyball, basketball, pool, and paintball, as well as events like a Medieval feast, DeMolay/Rainbow Dances and visits to the Speedway. In our Chapter, we try to fundraise enough money so that each member can partake in these events for free! If any of this sounds like fun, or at least remotely interesting, then we urge you to become involved in DeMolay. Joining DeMolay is the best thing a young man co. It not only helps a young man to become a better leader, but also a better person. Without even realizing it, a young man is being instilled with the high morals of love of parents, showing respect for all that is sacred, courtesy, comradship, fidelity, cleanness of mind and body, and patriotism. If you would like to learn a little more about DeMolay, take a look at Maine DeMolay's website (www.mainedemolay.org) or DeMolay International's website (www.demolay.org) or contact any of us here at New Marblehead Chapter. We appreciate your efforts to take the time to read what DeMolay is all about and hope we will see you around soon!

THE ORDER OF DEMOLAY FOR BOYS The Order of DeMolay is the world's largest fraternity for young men twelve to twenty-one years of age. Started in 1919, DeMolay has over 700 chapters in the United States as well as chapters in eleven foreign countries. DeMolay provides young men with a place to have fun, experience fellowship and learn and practice leadership skills. It creates an environment for young men conducive to growing, maturing and developing into caring and contributing members of society. DeMolay accomplishes all these things for young men while teaching them seven basic principles: love of parents, respect for religious beliefs and opinions of others, courtesy, friendship, faithfulness, cleanness and patriotism. There is no hazing. Men such as John Wayne, Walt Disney, Walter Cronkite, Paul Harvey, Buddy Ebsen, and football great, Fran Tarkenton, have participated in the ceremonies of DeMolay and learned from their participation in this order. All adult volunteers and workers are screened and participate in training programs to insure quality adult leadership and supervision for the young men of DeMolay.
