FLUTOPIA

FLUTOPIA is a Flute Ensemble/Choir for intermediate to advanced middle school and high school students, located in Arapahoe County, Colorado.

FLUTOPIA provides opportunity for student flutists to perform in an all-flute ensemble. The range of the ensemble spans 5 octaves, and includes piccolo, C flute (concert flute), alto flute and bass flute.

FLUTOPIA rehearses weekly in Centennial, Colorado. The choir performs at nursing and senior care centers, day care centers, coffee shops, book stores and in formal recitals.

Director/founder Robyn Gold earned her Bachelor of Music in 1984 from the University of Dayton. She currently teaches private flute/piccolo and piano lessons, and accompanies instrumental/vocal students and the Creekside Elementary School and Temple Sinai Youth choirs. Robyn teaches band at Creekside Elementary School and is a substitute teacher in the Cherry Creek School District.

Robyn performs regularly with the Rocky Mountain Flute Choir, the SAI Singers, and various small ensembles around the Denver metropolitan area. She is an active member of various Music Teachers Associations (Aurora, Douglas-Elbert, Colorado State and National), National and Colorado Flute Associations, Sigma Alpha Iota, and the American Music Therapy Association.
