
Ireland's Eye... We could view this from our hotel grounds. Portmarnock Hotel- Origianlly owned by the Jameson family, famous for their Irish Whiskey, their property has been converted into a beautiful hotel.

The Dublin Spire. A 400 foot tall spire, the tallest structure in Dublin, visible 15 miles away. Located in City Centre, this is the base of it. Custom House, built between 1781-1791, just one example of Ireland's beautiful architecture. 
The Famine Figures. They commemorate the Great Famine of 1845-1849, the potato blight. The Jameson Distillery... The namesake of our hotel. 
Guinness Brewery, St. James Gate, Dublin, home of Ireland's most famous product. 
For 2 Euros, outside the brewery, we got a picture of the past... 
Remember to drive on the opposite side! St. Patrick's Cathedral, founded as a church in 1192, built in the early English Gothic style. 
Lovely Malahide Castle. The building of this Castle began in 1185. 
A magnificent tree on the Castle grounds, one of over 5,000 plant species located there. Baltinglass Abbey 1148.
