Gourd Art started for me in 2000.
It all began by growing and then painting the dried cleaned gourds. Now my Gourd Art is usually an idea in leather. The first attempts were to cover the gourd bowl in one color of leather. Which turns out nice, but soon developed into weaving like a basket. As in all crafts there was trial and error before success. Now the realm of gourds and leather is growing and unlimited. On this site, I'm going to talk about my own enjoyment in growing and working with gourds. I'll share a bit of history on the subject itself, as well as some background on how I got involved in it. I might also include some instructions on how to perform my hobby, as well as any tips or tricks I've acquired through the years. And, of course, I'll include lots of pictures of the results of my hobby.
