On this page I will share gourds in different stages. From gourds turning color to projects in the making.
This is a extra long handle dipper gourd beginning to dry out. The mold is a sign that crafting is soon to begin.
All dried out and cleaned. Took a 3rd place Ribbon at the 2006 NC Gourd Show. SOLD
This gourd is being prepared to weave with the braided technique. The strips with tape on the ends have already been braided. Care must be taken to cut the correct number of strips to be able to weave and finish with the braided strips.
This is the braided gourd after it is finished. The braids are placed over the woven area. The contrasting colors help show off the braids.
