I don't know where you are at with the LORD, but I would like to help you know how you can be absolutely sure that you are saved! GOD truly promises to be merciful to His people and to forgive them from all of their sins. Knowing this, Apostle JOHN wrote by the inspiration of the HOLY SPIRIT: "If we confess our sins, He [GOD] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I JOHN 1:9 (KJV). I hope and pray this will help you to understand true salvation of GOD and help you in your relationship with the LORD JESUS CHRIST. The most pressing struggle that any individual will ever go through is his struggle with GOD. Many people have experienced the feeling of waking up in the middle of the night, in a cold sweat, seized with terror with one burning thought in their mind, "AM I REALLY SAVED?". This is the most important question that anyone will ever answer! The answer to this question is found in GOD's WORD, the Bible. In 1 JOHN 5:13 (KJV) GOD promises: "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of GOD; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal Life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of GOD." GOD has given us His WORD so that we might be sure that we are saved. What a wonderful gift! Let me share with you how you can have a personal relationship with the LORD, and then after this, no matter what anybody says, you can testify that you are saved entirely by the blood of JESUS CHRIST, the LAMB of GOD! You obtain complete SALVATION and begin your personal relationship with the LORD by complete trust in the fact that JESUS CHRIST was tortured, whipped, beaten and died enduring the wrath of GOD (DEATH & HELL) upon the cross for your sins (JOHN 3:16, 18,36; 1:12). GOD's salvation plan can be explained with the following points: 1. You are separated from GOD because of your sin. GOD says in ISAIAH 59:2 (KJV): "But your iniquities have separated between you and your GOD, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear". 2. Much worse than that, GOD is going to judge you and condemn you for your sins. GOD said in MATTHEW 16:27 (KJV): "For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works". GOD also said in MATTHEW 13:49-50 (KJV): "So shall it be at the end of the world; the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." 3. But GOD did not leave us hopeless. He sent His only begotten Son JESUS CHRIST, the LAMB of GOD to endure the wrath of GOD for us (JOHN 1:29,36). JESUS CHRIST is the MIGHTY GOD Himself (ISAIAH 9:6); that is why He was able to pay with his own life for our sins and to forgive us our sins. COLOSSIANS 2:9, (KJV) in reference to the LORD JESUS CHRIST, says: "For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form..." 4. We are saved because JESUS CHRIST shed His own blood for us. As a perfect sacrifice and offering once and for all, for all of our sins. He endured the wrath of the Father for us to save us from the condemnation of eternal damnation and eternal torment in the lake of fire! Apostle PAUL tells us in ROMANS 5:8-9 (KJV): "But GOD commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, CHRIST died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him". No matter what we do from now on, the fact remains that we blew it! None of our human efforts can make an atonement for our sins. Apostle PAUL tell us in ROMANS 3:23 (KJV): "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of GOD;". That means that we all have broken GOD's LAW and now we are under a curse as DEUTERONOMY 27:26 (KJV) states: "Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them". Apostle PAUL tells us the BAD NEWS AND THE GOOD NEWS GOSPEL MESSAGE in ROMANS 6:23 (KJV): "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of GOD is eternal life through JESUS CHRIST our LORD". Also, GALATIANS 3:13 (KJV) holds a wonderful promise for us: "CHRIST redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree..." But we must receive JESUS CHRIST as our LORD and SAVIOR, as well as, His perfect sacrifice and offering for our sins. Because it is a gift of GOD and a gift is not yours until you receive it! Apostle JOHN tell us this in Saint JOHN 1:12 (KJV): "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become Sons of GOD, even to them that believe on His name". 5. As proof that CHRIST did pay the penalty for our sins, and that He defeated death, He arose from the dead on the third day. There are several written eyewitness testimonies in the Bible: The books of Saint MATTHEW, Saint MARK, and Saint JOHN. Even Apostle PAUL wrote in I CORINTHIANS 15:3-6 (KJV): "For I delivered unto you as of first importance what I also received, that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the scriptures, and that He appeared to CEPHAS (PETER), then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time..." NOW, do you acknowledge that you are a sinner? Do you believe that GOD is going to judge and condemn you to eternal damnation and eternal torment in the lake of fire for your sins? Do you understand that the only hope of escape is that JESUS CHRIST, who is GOD, endured the Father's wrath for you? Have you cried out to GOD to save you? If you have answered, "YES," to these questions then I have some comforting words for you from GOD. In JOHN 5:24 (KJV) JESUS CHRIST Said: "Verily, verily I say unto you, He that heareth my WORD, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life". Apostle PAUL writes in ROMANS 10:9,10,13 (KJV) by the inspiration of the HOLY SPIRIT: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD JESUS, and believe in thine heart that GOD hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved." In ISAIAH 55:6-7 (KJV) GOD promises: "Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our GOD for He will abundantly pardon." You must believe and trust that GOD heard your prayer and answered your call. Your assurance is not based on feelings but on the WORD of GOD. Because we have the promises of GOD who cannot lie! Now, if you have not been baptized. Then go to Church and make a public profession of your receiving JESUS CHRIST as your personal LORD and Savior by being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and in the Holy Ghost. (MARK 16:16). Right now, start diligently and prayer- fully reading and studying the Scriptures. Then while you are prayerfully studying the Scriptures GOD will give you wisdom and in- crease your knowledge and understanding! Also, as you spend time with the LORD JESUS CHRIST, you will develop a personal relationship that will grow and grow. The more time you spend with Him the more your relationship will grow. You will develop a relationship that will expand into a deep loving personal relation- ship far beyond anything that you have ever experienced, or can comprehend! In closing, MY FRIENDS IN CHRIST, Apostle PAUL tells us in ROMANS 10:17 (KJV): "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." That tells us we have to hear the WORD of GOD, not just prayerfully read and study it! We must attend Bible Studies, Worship Services and meet together, assembling ourselves in the name of the LORD JESUS. Speaking the WORD of GOD to each other, edifying and building one another up in the LORD. So, we can hear the WORD of GOD and have our faith increased! For it is written by the inspiration of the HOLY SPIRIT in HEBREWS 10:25 (KJV): "Do not forsake assembling yourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." For when we assemble ourselves together JESUS CHRIST is right there in our midst (MATTHEW 18:20). That's right! We have the abiding presence of the MIGHTY GOD right in our midst! So, when we do not attend Bible Studies, Worship Services and meetings with our brothers and sisters in the LORD, then we lose out on the great honor and privilege of entering into the abiding presence and fellow- ship of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, and we lose out on having our faith increased by hearing the WORD of GOD! IN THE HOLY NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, I WRITE THESE THINGS, THAT YOU MAY RECEIVE HIM, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, BELIEVE ON HIS NAME, AND FOLLOW HIM. SO, YOU WILL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE IN HIM! AMEN! | ||||
