| Small, Strong Congregation |
Small congregations can focus on getting bigger. If they succeed, they're just bigger. But, better yet, a small congregation can focus on becoming stronger. A strong congregation is a worthwhile goal, no matter what your size is. |
I recently attended a workshop on small, strong congregations -- which confirmed my belief that that's just what we are. We may be small. So what! We are strong -- strong in our faith, strong in our generosity, strong in our caring, strong in encouragement, and strong in joy. We're strong because our strength comes from the Lord and it's magnified when we're together. We are a caring family of believers. When we get together, we have a good time. This congregation is a place we feel welcome and help others feel welcome as well. |
