Taking pictures of people can be fun.

Family Shots are usually done with the built in flash on the camera. Catching them doing something candid makes for some intersting pictures.

Turn on the flash outdoors, set to "force on" or to "fill-flash".

We might want to take more formal pictures. This can be done with professional flash equipment.

To keep cost low, if external flash units are available, they can be hooked to the camera with a sync cord or wirless unit. The flash can be bounced off an inexpensive white umbrella for a soft studio effect.
