Still Life Two

Still Life Sunset Silhouettes are easy to make.

Still Life Silhouette 2

Still Life - Silhouette 1

Still Life Silhouettes can be made in two ways.
A rear screen is used to display a projected image of a sunset, either from a slide or a data projector. A piece of glass is put in front of the screen to which is taped materials suitable for a silhouette image.
The image is photographed with the camera on a tripod as the expose is usually long. The camera meter usually does a good job of getting the right exposure.

The second way is with a piece of glass on which silhouette material is taped and then put in front of a computer screen that is displaying an image of a sunset full screen. Use a shutter speed slower than 1/60 of a second so you don't get a wavey pattern of the 60 cycle AC.

Still Life can be combined with scenic. Notice the backgrounds in the below pictures. The camera was on a tripod for both. The left picture was taken with a large lens opening. The one on the right with a small lens opening.
