Plants, especially Flowers are my favorite Photograpy subjects. I like setting the exposure on the flower petals with spot metering. If sun is shining on the flower and the background is in the shade, the background will come out black. I set the camera for ISO 50 and use a tripod. Using too high of ISO will show the background.
