History of Our Club

The Yucca Chuckers is a non profit desert racing club. In 1997 an idea was born in the minds of Mike Strong, Dale Wallis, and Lonny Walch to start a desert racing club named the Yucca Chuckers. With this new club not only would the members benefit but the Alamo Valley would also benefit with its formation. In November 1997, with the help of some volunteers the Yucca Chuckers put on our first race in Alamo. This opened up the Alamo valley to desert racing on both sides of Highway 93. It also established the Yucca Chuckers as a club that was part of MRAN (Motorcycle Racing Association of Nevada).

As an organized club a president and other officers would be needed. Our first and only President is Jeff Beck of Las Vegas,NV., first and only Vice President Mike Strong of Alamo,NV., our first and only Treausurer is Rick (Bergie) Bergstrand, and last but not least the first PR Officer Jason Smith. This year will be the eighth year as an organized MRAN Desert Racing Club. This year will also be our eighth annual desert race and we look forward to many more years.
