Flak into the target was brutal though, with two hits to the Flying Fantasies II. The first hit doing two hit factors of damage, one hit to each wing. The second hit was a BIP in the Starboard Wing of the Flying Fantasies II sending it into a death spiral to earth. We only saw three chutes, all the rest are presumed lost. Red Cross report: Co-Pilot, Radio Operator and Port Waist of B17 named "Flying Fantacy bailed out and were captured by the Germans.
