Jason Schultz of Hells Canyon Sportfishing out of Lewiston sent this photo of a Montana client who caught a huge walleye while fishing with one of his guides on the mid-Columbia River this year. The Washington State Record is just over 19 pounds. This walleye, which was left in a livewell all day, weighed 18.75 pounds when it finally made it to a certified scale. Could it have broken the Washington State Record? Maybe - but either way - it's more proof that there are some very, very big walleye in the Columbia River.
