About the author

Kat Downing lives in a log cabin in New Hampshire's White Mountains. She's worked with various motorcyle rights groups. Now after five years of being a stay-at-home mom, she helps the groups when she can and also owns a business with her husband Dick and daughter Riley.
She's won essay contests on the web and had an article published in an e-zine. She's now working on her third novel- 'Menacing Memory'

My beliefs in regard to motorcycling:

New Hampshire has retained more freedoms than most states.
We still have no: mandatory insurance, sales tax, state income tax, seat belt laws, or helmet laws for adults.

NHMRO, our local motorcycle rights organization, has worked hard for many of these.

I do NOT believe helmets are bad, I believe helmet laws are bad and rider education is better. It's always better to avoid an accident than survive one.

I'll keep updating this site and add news I hope will be of interest to you.

My novel will also be at sale at Campton Plaza's video store, while the local bookstores are still waiting. So drop by.

To my friends

I'd like to thank, Keavy Clayton, Alyssa Agee, Dawn Lyons, and Magical Merlina, for without them this book would not have found a publisher to believe in it.

As always my thanks go out to the folks at NHMRO who've worked to help us retain many of the freedoms I've mentioned and to The Motorcycle Rider's Foundation - MRF - who work nationally to see that riders in all states may one day ride free.
