Welcome to my fiber art site!

linda the fiber junkie

I used to think I was a "jack-of-all-trades" until I discovered the common thread: fiber!

Sewing, quilting, cloth and mixed media dolls, wearable art, knitting, crochet, papermaking, weaving, beading and spinning. It may look like a mishmash of unrelated stuff, but remember, it's all fiber, and fiber is good for you!

Feel free to explore using the links above. Things change quickly around here, so stop by often!

This is my first handspun 3 ply. I did it all on my drop spindles. It'll be socks soon.

Another small one that only took a few days. I've not knitted one like it before, it was a weird-looking cone before blocking. I really wasn't sure it would lie flat, but pins, water and starch did the trick! Size 2 needles and size 20 thread.

For those of you who like to make sure the folks around you are wide awake, here's a fuschia one.

I started making knitted, felted handbags a couple of years ago. This is one of the newer ones.

One of the few times I bought beads and knew exactly what I wanted to dp woth them. 18" long, pressed glass and seed beads.

This one is called The Un-Namer. I made it for the Art Doll Quarterly Bendi Doll challenge. I had made a smaller version of this doll several years before, it was the first doll I sold. Although this doll didn't make it into the magazine as part of the bendi doll challenge, it did show up in the gallery section of the magazine a year or 2 ago.
