Here's some things I made for my family.

Tara's Mittens

Tara's Mittens - Jamieson & Smith Jumper Weight, 2003. About halfway through, I began to call these the mittens from hell because there was a color change at the start of every row. Now that they're done and I'm not digging through a bag of 25 balls of wool every 10 minutes, I'm really glad I did it.

Devi's mittens

Devi's mittens - Jamieson & Smith jumper weight, 2002. After completing the blue mitten, I realized there was not enough blue left for the second one. So I changed the color placement. Devi thinks it's cool that they "go together" but don't match.

Kevin's Mittens

Devi (left) and Tara (right) wearing their purple sweaters. I had the Grand Idea of hand dying some wool for a sweater for myself, then changed my mind and had enough badly-dyed purple wool to make each of the kids a sweater. Devi is wearing EZ's Seamless Circular Yoke sweater with a color pattern I knit off the top of my head, and Tara is wearing Meg Swansen's Spiral Yoke sweater. Finn's saddle Shoulder Aran is still on the needles. 2004

Devi's Graceful

Devi wearing her new Graceful from The Best of Knitters: Shawls and Scarves. I made it smaller to fit her 10-year-old frame, and worked it in welt stripes instead of garter stitch. She requested that the fringe be extra-long. I kept the color-change rows in knit from the right side and found that the reverse side was just as attractive! You never know until you pick up the needles ;). The navy blue is Wool-Ease Worsted, and the rainbow stripes are Wool-Ease Sport. 2003
