This shows my finished handbox holder which I made that attaches to my wedge with Velcro. Using Ron Keating's directions on building dew heaters (see the link to DewBuster) I built one into the holder. The holder also has an adjustable bracket which can mount on top of the tripod legs.


The files below were written by me some time ago and may or may not be accurate now. Meade does change some of the menu structure within their telescopes! One note about the files about my homemade counterweight, DON'T do this indoors and DON'T do this unless you really are comfortable with smelting metals, especially lead!

This photo shows my handbox holder, before I covered it, in one of the mounting positions on top of a tripod leg.

Gondolas in Venice; Actual size=240 pixels wide

This is a case I made using the original shipping foam from Lauan sheeting and 3/4" x 3" pine. The edges are protected by 3/4" angle aluminum and all parts were glued and screwed together. I have had this case for almost five years and it has held up very well.
