Who We Are

M&W Productions, Inc. is Wisconsin-based Theatrical Production Company owned and operated by Tom Marks and Michael Wilson, who have 70 years of combined theatrical experience. Marks & Wilson have been producing affordable professional children's theatre "for the young and the young at heart" since 1982.

They moved to Milwaukee in 1984 to introduce Children's Theatre at the Milwaukee Melody Top. In 1985 they produced both Melody Top's Main Stage and Children's Theatre productions. In 1986 they incorporated their business and the partners have been entertaining families as well as day care, school, scout, and senior audiences with classic stories and fables that never grow old ever since.

M&W's "Main Stage Shows" and "Playhouse Productions" are not "out-of-town touring shows" which load in and out of the back of a van, but rather a "home town" and "hand-made" entertainment utilizing the artistic talents of area professionals.

Our Shows

Our "Main Stage Shows" are typically original adaptations written by Tom Marks, M&W's Artistic Director, with musical scores by Kurt Cowling or Margaret A Bell. Productions feature casts of eight to twelve or more talented professional actors and actresses.

The "Playhouse Productions" come from the catalogue of K.M.R Scripts, written composed by Kevin Reese. These shows feature casts of four gifted performers and the familiar stories that are more "funny and fractured" than a the original.
