Stories and Pictures of Successful Adoptions Bo has not been adopted yet but his first happy ending came when many volunteers came together to help save his life. Bo was hit by a car on Friday May 23rd. His back right leg was broken. His owners were unable to pay for his care and turned him over to rescue. Due to the way his leg was broken the best option for surgery was the Iowa State Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Ames, Iowa. The cost was estimated at $2300.00. Flyers were printed and e-mails stormed the Boxer world. Through a generous grant from the Boxer Rescue Foundation and gifts from many individuals Bo's surgery was paid for. After therapy and some time to heal he will be able to live a long and happy life. Thank you Boxer friends. We couldn't have done it without you!

Bo's leg has healed and he has gone through underwater treadmill therapy at the Urban Pet Hospital in Urbandale, Iowa to rebuild lost muscle tone. Bo is now in his forever home and has a secure and happy future. Congratulations on your adoption Bo! You deserve your great new home! Below is the link to the Boxer Rescue Foundation. Through auctions and gifts the BRF raises funds for rescue operations throughout the country. They also have a special fund for Boxers in need who are not in rescue. Check out Toby's Gift. MAC and MIA
Mac and Mia are a brother-sister combo who turned one year old in June. They needed a home together because Mia is deaf and depends on her brother to be her ears. They found a wonderful home with Mark and Kerry. We can't thank them enough for taking these wonderful Boxers into their family. Thank you for all you have done for us! Now Mac & Mia are joined by Kane, a forever brother

Mia and Kane are deaf. Mac (brindle) acts as their ears. They get along wonderfully and have a great home. |
