Post 6022

Today, January 15th 2006.
At a Small Country Church in Central Alabama, Post 6022, with Full Military Ritual, Laid to Rest, Past Post Commander & Comrade, Wm (BILL)George Bailey, Bill was 79 and endured Combat in WW2, Korea & Vietnam. Bill was Commander of 6022 (1987-1996) and, for 9 Years, He performed all duties above and beyond what was asked of him. He was truly the Veterans Advocate.
Brother Bailey will sorely be missed by all!!

Our Chaplain and Comrade Fred Hallman has resigned. After 10 years as being "The Spritual Leader" of our Post Mr. Fred has called it quits.
Fred has really been an inspiration to us over the years, Comrade Joseph Spikes, will assume his position. Freds Wife, Ruby has to have someone with her, especially at night, and he has decided, and rightly so, that he should be there with her as much as he can. Fred will always be there for us if we need him.
Comrade Hallman not only has been our Chaplain, he has also served as one of the "American Legions Honor Guard" during this period and is an Outstanding Patriotic example of our Community.
THANK YOU Brother Hallman for your continued service!
