Houston Visit

Happy Birthday!

We had fun watching Emmy open up her presents. Kris and I were lucky because we also received some gifts. Emmy gave me a toy puppy that gives kisses. Kris received a bathtub Barney and children's bible from Uncle Jeff and Aunt Christy.

Getting Acquainted with Uncle Jeff

Kris and Uncle Jeff really hit it off well. Uncle Jeff is a really great artist. We hope some of his talent rubs off on us!

Aunt Cyd Meets Baby Kris

Here's Kris looking up adoringly at Aunt Cyd. Mommy is Aunt Cyd's little sister. They have lots of interesting stories about growing up together.

Emmy's Surprise

Houston Bound

We decided to pay Emmy a visit for her birthday. Emmy's birthday is January 11th. We flew to Houston on Delta Air Lines. I'm a frequent flyer but this was Kris' first time on an airplane.

Mocha Madness

Mommy made her infamous mocha cake. I thought it was pretty good. The best part about the cake though was helping Emmy blow out the candles. Aunt Christy looks like someone just surprised her!

Meet Aunty Christy

I've told my baby brother lots of wonderful stories about Aunt Christy. She and Uncle Jeff also live in Houston. We stayed at their new house during our visit.

Strolling With Emmy

It was a beautiful sunny day so Emmy and I went for a walk. It sure was a nice feeling to hold my Emmy's hand. I wish we lived closer and could visit more often.

Reminiscing with Aunt Cyd

Aunt Cyd and I are discussing the good old days. She remembers as a baby I required lots of singing to be happy. One of her favorite songs was "Higgelty, Piggelty My Black Hen".

Emmy and Baby Kris

This was the first time for Emmy and Kris to meet each other. Kris loves to sleep just about anywhere but he really loved sleeping in Emmy's arms.

Still Napping

Kris thinks he is in heaven sleeping on Emmy's shoulders. He wishes that the moment would last forever.
