Yummy Cookies

2002cookies.jpg

Santa left us some cookies! We left some milk and cookies for Santa and he remembered to leave a few for us to eat. The sprinkles on the cookies made Kris have green lips and teeth. It made him look funny, but festive!

Lots of Presents

2002presents.jpg

Look at all the wonderful gifts that we found in our living room when we woke up on Christmas Day. I've already ripped off the wrapping paper of my doctor's kit. (Did you know that I might be a doctor when I grow up? My other career choice is trash man. Which job do you think that I'd be best at doing?) Kris seems to be more interested in his cookie than in all the presents.

Unwrapping Gifts

2002presents2.jpg

Kris is managing to open his gifts with just one hand. He is not about to give up that cookie! Good thing this package is in a colorful bag that makes it easy for him to open.

Stocking Stuffers

2002stocking.jpg

The stocking beside Kris is almost as big as he is! Kris had fun pulling out all the little goodies and gifts that Santa left for him in his stocking.

Gift From Emmy

2002presents14.jpg

Aunt Cyd and Emmy sent us these really neat stuffed animals. When you squeeze them, they make realistic noises just like a live animal. The buffalo and the penguin that we received were really unique gifts.

Playing Games With Daddy

2002presents12.jpg

Daddy and I had fun playing with my new turtle matching game. You need to match the color on the lily pad with the color on the turtle. The person with the most lily pads is the winner. I was really good at this game and won several times!

Sita's Surprise

2002presents5.jpg

This sweet little teddy bear was given to Kris from Sita at Dunkin' Donuts. We jokingly refer to her as Kris' girlfriend. She just loved it whenever Kris would be in the car at the drive-thru. She attached a card to this gift addressed to "My Favorite Little Customer".

Don't Bug Me, I'm Playing

2002presents13.jpg

I was so excited when I opened up this toy bug set. I loved playing with all the creepy crawly creatures. Speaking of bugs, wait until you read more about them further down on this web page. I personally prefer to play with toy bugs over real ones and so does my Mommy!

Welcome To The Zoo

2002presents10.jpg

Santa gave this cute little zoo playset to Kris but I had more fun playing with it myself. Kris was too preoccupied with all the interesting gift wrap, bags, and ribbons to play with his toys.

All Aboard!

2002presents18.jpg

The train set that Emmy gave to Kris brings him lots of joy. Because of the unusual way to spell his name, its difficult to find personalized items for him. When Kris isn't playing with this toy, it makes a really nice decoration for his room.

Just What I've Always Wanted

2002presents16.jpg

Notice how extremely happy Kris is with the gift that I gave to him for a being such a sweet little brother. It was a Fisher Price CD player. It's just an imitation CD player and doesn't play real CDs. It has one of Kris' favorite songs on it ~ Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star!

Open Wide

2002presents15.jpg

Kris is testing out the Spongebob Squarepants tooth brush that was inside my stocking. After eating all those sugary Christmas goodies, he needs to really brush his teeth. Don't forget to floss!

Marvelous Muffins

Mommy bought some muffins to prepare for a Christmas morning snack. Unfortunately when she opened up the mix, it was full of tiny bugs! Yuck! Luckily, she had a spare mix on hand because the grocery stores aren't open for business on Christmas Day. This new batch of muffins were delicious, but it was hard to get the image of those bugs out of our heads. Hmm, is that a poppy seed that I see?

Get Happy!

2002presents20.jpg

This McDonald's playset sure did "put a smile on" my face! Now Kris and I can play drive-thru at home. I've always want to say, "Would you care for an apple pie with that order?"

May I Serve You?

I'm training Kris on how to provide excellent customer service at the drive-thru window. My McDonald's playset has pretend burgers, fries, and other food items. It also comes with a cash register and play money. I think I know what kind of part-time work we will be qualified for when we're teenagers.

Let's Go Eat!

2002presents8.jpg

Uncle Jeff and Aunt Christy gave us some McDonald's coupons so we decided to treat ourselves to lunch. Surprisingly, McDonald's was open for business on Christmas. I decided to bring along my doctor's kit in case we had an unexpected medical emergency. (I believe that last statement is considered "foreshadowing".)

McDonald's Play Area

mcdonalds3.jpg

Kris and I were having a marvelous time at McDonald's up until our Christmas "tragedy" occured. I'll spare you the gory details but something disgusting found inside the play area required prompt and thorough cleansing in the restroom. I decided to rush in the bathroom just as Mommy and Kris were coming out. OUCH! The door ran over my barefoot and ripped the toenail off of my big toe! Even the doctor was squeamish and wouldn't touch it when he examined my foot. He said it would probably take a year for my nail to grow back. (Actually, it only took a few months.) Later that night Kris and I were sick and throwing up. Mommy decided that she couldn't possibly make it to work the next day with everything going on at home. Talk about a crazy day!

Despite the bad, we still had one of the best Christmas Days ever! We look forward to having an even better one next year. We hope all our friends and family had a joyous Christmas season and wish everybody a Happy New Year!
