....and then there were two....

Rebel Angels

....the first Redwood Moose CD.......

lilycrop.jpg

released at the Rosendale Street Festival, August 7th and 8th, 2004

and there were two in all senses, except for when it's four, which is to say there is Reb, the Redwood Lady, the Moose, and now Lilly and Louie, absolute characters in their own right whose antics keep us endlessly amused--cats are why hippies don't need TV's....now all sharing Redwood Moose Manor

SO THERE ARE MANY, MANY CHANGES--THE BOAT IS GONE FROM THE LIVING ROOM, THE MANOR IS PAINTED (except for where the paint blew off the porch floor the first winter), AND THE PLACE HAS BEEN BEAUTIFIED (a work still in progress)--AND OF COURSE THE HERD CONTINUES TO GROW.
(we couldn't get Lilly and Louie to stand still for the picture, but here's Lilly on the lawn, and that's Louie behind Reb in the beautified living room)

the first CD!!! is out! See page 3,"the Moose", for details

....if a Moose calls in the Forest....

Green Marble Tumbling Musical Note

WELCOME TO THE HERD!

WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE. TO THE RIGHT IS A PICTURE OF MOOSE MANOR, THE HERD HABITAT HOMEBASE, IN BEAUTIFUL IF SLIGHTLY RUNDOWN ROSENDALE, NEW YORK. THE CHILDREN ARE FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD, THE HERD IS MUCH SMALLER THAN ITS PRESENT SIZE, AND THEY ARE IN THEIR FAVORITE TOY, A HAMMACHER SCHLEMMER SPECIAL, A RED AND BLUE INFLATABLE KAYAK. AS TO THE OLD HIPPIE, THERE'LL BE COMMENT BY OTHERS ON OTHER PAGES--HE HIMSELF HAS NOTHING TO SAY AT THE MOMENT.

"MAY THE MOOSE BE WITH YOU"

Yellow Spinning Harmonica

Violin Playing 2

MOOSE MANOR WAS BUILT IN THE 1880'S--THE FIRST HOUSE BUILT IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. THE NEXT THREE HOUSES BUILT WERE CLASSIC VICTORIANS, WHICH INCLUDES THE DRAGON'S LAIR AND THE SEAT OF JUDGEMENT. THE MANOR WAS ONLY ONE STORY AND ONE ROOM WHEN BUILT. ONCE THE DRAGON'S LAIR WAS BUILT IT WAS SOON PUT INTO USE AS A RUG FACTORY WITH A HUGE LOOM OCCUPYING MOST OF THE SPACE. A SECOND STORY AND SMALL REAR ADDITION WERE BUILT IN THE 1920'S. EVENTUALLY IT FELL INTO THE HANDS OF THE MOOSE, WHO LIVED IN IT OFF AND ON IN THE 80'S AND 90'S. AT PRESENT ITS USE IS SEVERELY COMPROMISED BY THE 10-1/2 FOOT CAPE COD DORY IN THE LIVING ROOM (ALTHOUGH THE HERD REALLY ENJOYS PLAYING IN THE BOAT).
