Our Services

On this page, you will find brief descriptions of the services we provide. During your appointment, the treatment that is appropriate for you or your loved ones will be explained in much greater details.

External Beam Radiation. This is by far the most common type of radiation treatments. The radiation is produced by high-energy linear accelerators and is delivered by various means:
1. Conventional.
2. Three-dimensional conformal.
3. IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy).

Stereotactic Radiosurgery. A series of narrow, focused beams of radiation are aimed at the tumor from multiple directions to deliver high dose radiation to the tumor itself while sparing surrounding tissues. This service is being planned for the future.

Prostate Implant. Interstitial permanent radioactive isotopes are implanted directly into the prostate, with or without external beam radiation. We also offer hormonal treatments (with Lupron, Zoladex, etc.) in conjunction with the implant.

Gynecological Implant. Intracavitary radioactive isotopes are used over a short period of time and are then removed.

Head/Neck Implant. Radioactive isotopes are implanted either temporarily or permanently to treat head/neck cancers.

Simulation and Dosimetry Planning. A dedicated CT scanner is used to determine the three-dimensional locations and shapes of tumors as well as normal anatomy. The digital information is then used to reconstruct the inside of the patient's body, and various radiation treatment arrangements can be tried ("simulated"); the best one is recommended for actual treatment.
