Classroom Activities

Students will create their own survey question and decide on the group they will interview. They will decide which type of graph best represents the information and report conclusions found. They will find the mean, median, mode and range and include all of the above in the final project, which takes the place of a final exam for this outcome.

Using colored candies like M&M's or skittles, students will collect data on the different colors in a single serving bag, create a bar graph with the information, convert the bar graph to a circle graph and include percentages, and then determine the probability of reaching into a bag and pulling out a specific color.
