Feudalism and Division

Feudalism Study Guide:
1. Medieval time was a period of hist0ry lasting from about 500 - 1500 B.C.
2. The Medieval times marked the end of the Roman Empire.
3. Medieval times marked the rise of Christianity.
4. A monarch (king) divided his land into parcels called fiefs.
5. Most people in the Middle Ages could not read or write.
6. The Crusades or Holy Wars resulted in Christians retaking the holy lands.
7. Another result of the Crusades was the introduction of the black plague to Europe.
8. The common people who worked a nobles land were called peasants.
9. People living in the city who shared the same kind of work formed guilds to help improve their craft.
10. The priest & monks ran the schools during the middle ages.
11. Besides feudalism and manor life the third force to bring order to Europe was the Roman Catholic Church.
12. A cathedral was much larger than a castle and might take 100 - 150 years to build.
13. The Black Plague killed over 1/4 of Europe's entire population between 1348 and 1351.
14. The plague was spread by fleas on rats.

Feudalism

Division was introduced and panick was felt by most.
It is important that your child have a good base in multiplication to feel successful in division. Please practice with them at home. Review our math outcomes and work with them on division.
