Homework will always have a specified due date. If it is turned in late there will be a penalty of 10% off the grade for each day it is late. It will not be accepted after the 5th school day. The exceptions to this will be for excused absences.
For everyday a child has an excused absence, they will have 2 days to complete missed assignments without penalty.
A student progress report will be sent home every other week and a parent/guardian signature will be required.
Parents may receive phone calls, e-mails, or notes from teachers regarding progress, homework, or behavior.
If your child is going on a vacation during the scheduled classroom time, their work will be given to them upon returning to the classroom. We cannot supply lessons for each child ahead of time for vacations or extended travel as this is happening more frequently and it is almost impossible to predict exactly how far we will get in certain subjects due to comprehension, assemblies, weather, and other events. As stated above, they will have time to complete the work when they return.
