I started out writing country music with Randy Howard, an old high school classmate, in 1986. One of our first successes was a publishing contract for a ballad entitled "Letters".

Our first attempt at Christian music was appropriately a country gospel tune called "Time To Be Thankful" written in 1989. In 1991 we wrote "What Can I Give" which became our first gospel song to be recorded in 1995. More recently I have been writing on my own and have had several songs recorded. I am a member of BMI.

In addition to song writing I work as a system consultant for Intergraph Corporation. I was a member of the Calvary Road Quartet from 1994 to 2002 and served as minister of music for the First Baptist Church of Gurley, Alabama from 1996 to 2003.
