Mini Rex

The Mini Rex are a relatively new breed. They were accepted by the ARBA in the year 1988. Mona Berryhill from Texas was one of the first people to breed miniature sized Rex. The Mini Rex breed is known for its velveteen fur. Mini Rex have an ideal weight of 4 1/4 pounds for the Bucks and 4 1/2 pounds for the does. The varieties of Mini Rex are:Black, Blue, Broken, Castor, Chinchilla, Chocolate, Himalayan, Lilac, Lynx, Opal, Red, Seal, Tortoise shell, Tricolor, White.

We have been raising Mini Rex since the spring of 1999 and have enjoyed doing so. We have two herd bucks and four brood does. We breed our Mini Rex for good body and disposition.
