My wife, Angela Stackfield-White and I, Butch White, started our kennel in 1995 with one German Shepherd. It was a desire of mine to have a good dog when we purchased our home and there are none better, smarter or more loyal than a German Shepherd. Cody was my first Shepherd. He was a 3 month old male German Shepherd. When I purchased Cody I was new to the sport and really did not know what was expected. As the years went by however and by purchasing more dogs and joining 3 Schutzhund clubs, I learned more and more.
My first female Shepherd I got from a friend who imported her. Her name is Chery Z Lipin. She was the first dog that I actually put a Schutzhund 2 title on. Once again I realized how smart the German Shepherd is by seeing Chery and other competitors performing their routines for the title.
I imported another German Shepherd female from Germany with the help of Gary Hanrahan, one of the top dog trainers in the United States. Her name is Leika. She is the mother of my current litter.
I like to give advice to other new owners so they do not make any mistakes when it comes to purchasing their new family member. I love animals and I really love German Shepherds. I have 2 grandsons, Mallik and SeVon who enjoy helping me to take care of the puppies. SeVon truly believes he is already a dog trainer and watches everything I do. SeVon is 7 years old and Mallik is 11 years old. With their help and the help of my club members, I start socializing my puppies at an early age.
I feel very blessed to be able to do what I really enjoy doing and I can say it is very fulfilling.
