I'm very intrigued by the human mind, obviously because I'm a coach and I find, although I'm VERY not at the main character, Annon's place it's where I see myself going with what I do for others.
I identify with this book as well because I can see things in people all the time. Things they don't see in themselves. Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes it's a movement or a gesture or a comment that comes up over and over again, a look; mannerism pick one. I've always been able to see it.

"You don't understand a damned thing," Tony interrupts, speaking through clenched teeth. "You lied to all of us. There's no power! It's a bunch of crap and you know it."
Anger glares from Tony's eyes as he snarls, "I can't figure out your angle. It's not like we're paying you any money or anything, so you're not in it for the cash."
Moving directly in front of Annon, and looking down at him with smoldering eyes, his voice is choked. "What's in this for you, old man?"
Suddenly he leans forward, slapping a hand on either side of Annon's chair, his eyes glaring with rage. "There's gotta be something in it for you."
Anger fills his entire being as he rigidly leans forward, his face directly in front of Annon's, his hands clenching the chair arms.
