The Nia technique is an expressive body-mind movement and fitness program incorporating dance, martial arts and healing arts, including yoga. It is a cardiovascular program that uses whole-body, expressive, grounded movement. Nia is adaptable to every level of fitness, age and type of body. Nia engages the spirit and encourages inner exploration. It empowers people to make their own movement choices by offering a flexible structure they can personally modify to suit individual needs. Instructor: Mary Singler Mary is a certified blue belt Nia teacher, and has taught In many realms of mind and body fitness for 15 years. Mary's master's degree is in health promotion with a focus in cardiorespiratory fitness. She is a certified fitness instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine and holds a number of other fitness certifications, including strength training, yoga and spinning.
