I love individual sports. Team sports have never really worked out too well for me. Although I do enjoy futebol (soccer) if played with my family and friends, my favorite sports are those in which I need only compete against myself. I love skiing, for example, and swimming, and mountain biking. |

Both mountain bikes are of the same make and model yet diferent year. Mine, the black one, is a '97. My wife's, the orange, is a '99 (if I'm not mistaken). |

This bike, my 1997 Gary Fisher Marlin, has almost every component replaced. The only thing I never did get around to changing is the drive train: the cogs and gear shifting components. Of course there was a time when I really wanted to replace these but it passed and now I think if I do decide to spend that kind of cash it would be to purchase a new bike. I would hate to part with this one being that I've been through so much with it, but the technology of today's mountain bikes is so amazing that it wouldn't take long to get used to a new one. It would be like when I traded my Ford Tempo in for the Honda Civic. |
