At a session, you would typically find musicians seated/standing in a large circle. They take turns leading the group in a tune or song of their choice. It's a great venue for learning new tunes! I like the old saying: playing with others is like having a conversation; sometimes you talk, but mostly you listen (especially when it's someone else is leading a tune or song).
Bring your guitar, banjo, flute, fiddle, dulcimer, mandolin, tin whistle, autoharp, bouzouki, or whatever acoustic instrument you play and bring your favorite tune to share! Please make sure your instrument is in tune! Everyone is welcome to play or come to listen! |
